Every price has a config object whose model decides how the metric’s value becomes an amount. Amounts are in the price’s currency (three-letter ISO code, default USD).

Unit

Charge a fixed amount per unit.
100,000 calls cost 100,000 × 0.001 = $100.

Tiered

Charge different unit prices for different ranges. Each tier has an upTo limit (null means no limit), a unitPrice, and an optional flatFee charged once when the tier is reached.
Tiers are graduated: the first 1,000 units use the first tier’s price, the next 9,000 use the second, and the rest use the third.

Bulk

Like tiered, but the tier a total falls into sets the unit price for every unit. There are no splits across tiers.
With 1,500 units, all 1,500 are billed at $0.01.

Package

Charge per block of units. A size and a unitPrice define each package; the amount is the number of packages needed, rounded up, multiplied by the package price.
1,001 units bill two packages, $10.

Percentage

Charge a percentage of another metric’s value. Useful for payment-style fees on transaction volume.

License

Charge per seat for a license type you allocate to customers with POST /v1/licenses.

Choosing a model

A price with no metric is a flat fee. Set metricId to null (or omit it) and use a cadence of monthly, quarterly, annual, or one_time.
